Breaking up is hard to do but Allstate can help. While we were in Denver in April, Madisen and I had to fly Los Angeles for what was suppose to be a quick four day trip. Madisen would be attending the "A Voice for the Voiceless" - World Team Fundraiser and the annual CCRF (Children's Cancer Research Fund) Walk, she had a orthodontist appt and doctor's appt. We were hopefully for an audition but overall didn't expect one. On late Friday - her agent called to tell her she had a Saturday audition for Allstate (honestly Saturday auditions are rare) but we were excited. We squeezed it in with our busy weekend. Late Monday we got the email...callback on Tuesday. I thought we can just barely make the callback on our way to the airport.
Well we made the callback and they were sticking to the call times. We rushed to LAX and just barely missed our flight, but we missed it. Southwest rolled us over to the next one and we got home about 1:00 am in the morning.
The next day Madisen's agent called and said...Madisen booked Allstate and it films on Friday. So we booked some tickets and flew back out on Thursday to film on Friday. Madisen and I met a really nice young lady Ruby and her Mom Cheryl on set. Ruby plays the friend dancing next to her as the boy is breaking up with her at the dance. We laughed at how Madisen was having her first break up even though she didn't even have a boyfriend.
Madisen worked with Dennis Haysbert the Allstate spokesperson, you may also know him as President Palmer from 24 or Jonas Blane from The Unit. Very nice man and always talks in that deep voice.
We flew back to Denver on Saturday and waited patiently until September when the commercial aired for the first time.
